What can be said about Misha? Rarely have I ever heard a bad word spoken about the soft spoken, big hearted girl with the funny last name no one can spell. For 10 years now I've know her as this beautiful person inside and out, does no wrong to people, even her enemies. I've often said she's one of the few truly good people left. To date we've had one squabble and I'll take the hit that was because of my stupidity, but as she says "It's the past".
I was in my aforementioned squander in 2007-2009 when Misha and I really got to know each other. I had just been beginning to hear God's call on my life to sing again but didn't know where to begin. One of my heroes Mr. Mike Hirter had just passed (In that year I lost Mike, my childhood friend and brother Cody's uncle Rusty, who was essentially my big brother, and another friend Brian within weeks of each other. I was a mess) when Misha came along batting those big beautiful brown eyes and comforted me and would talk to me about my ministry and life and where I was coming from. Ultimately she convinced me to rejoin the New Generation Singers, a group I'd been removed from for "making waves" and praise the Lord she stood by me through that ordeal and was stronger than I. That was tough.
After that she helped me in encouraging me to sing solo dates, and listened to me scream songs in her ear, and was my support through the beginnings of trying to book my first BIG concert (with Steve Ladd). Ultimately some things happened and Mish and I sadly went our seperate ways, but I thank her, and have so much love for being a rock and having common sense sometimes when I didn't. Its been awhile but here's hoping we can bridge the gap, and get caught up.
Oh did I mention she's a heck of a singer as well? What an underestimated set of pipes this girl has!! Check out these videos:
